Sibirische Katze

The Siberian is Russia's native forest cat, known for their thick triple coat and powerful build. Despite their size, they're agile jumpers and playful hunters. They're also notable for producing less Fel d 1 allergen, making them better for some allergy sufferers.

Siberians can be prone to Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) and PKD. Some lines have hereditary cancer. They're generally robust cats, well-adapted to harsh conditions. Regular cardiac screening is recommended. Lifespan is 12-15 years.

Their thick coat needs brushing 2-3 times weekly, daily during shedding season. They love water and may join you in the shower! Provide opportunities for climbing and hunting play. They're adaptable to various living situations.
