Peterbald

The Peterbald originated in Russia from crossing a Donskoy with an Oriental Shorthair. They range from completely bald to having a fine coat. Elegant and athletic with an Oriental body type, they're affectionate, intelligent cats who love being with their people.

Peterbalds may be prone to skin conditions and sunburn if hairless. Some may develop dental issues or heart conditions. They're sensitive to temperature extremes. Regular vet checkups are important. Lifespan is 12-15 years.

Hairless varieties need regular bathing to remove skin oils. Protect from sun and cold. They're highly social and need lots of interaction. Provide warm sleeping spots and consider sweaters in winter. Active cats who need play.
