Himalayakatze

The Himalayan combines the Persian's luxurious coat with Siamese colorpoint markings. These stunning cats have the Persian's calm, sweet temperament but may show occasional Siamese playfulness. They're gentle, devoted companions who prefer serene environments.

Himalayans are prone to the same issues as Persians: PKD, respiratory problems, eye conditions, and dental issues from their flat face. They may also develop skin fold dermatitis. Regular grooming and vet care are essential.

Daily grooming is essential to prevent matting of their long coat. Clean their eyes daily. Keep them in air-conditioned spaces during hot weather. They're indoor-only cats who prefer quiet, predictable routines.
