Turkish Angora

The Turkish Angora is an ancient, natural breed from Turkey, known for their silky white coat and graceful appearance. Contrary to their delicate looks, they're energetic, mischievous, and highly intelligent. They often bond most closely with one person.

White Turkish Angoras with blue eyes may be deaf. They can be prone to Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) and Hereditary Ataxia. Some may develop sensitivity to anesthetics. Get hearing tested if buying a white kitten.

Their single-layer coat doesn't mat easily—weekly brushing is sufficient. They're active cats who need lots of play and climbing opportunities. They can be trained to fetch and walk on a leash. Supervise around water—they're fascinated by it!
