Sokoke

The Sokoke is a rare natural breed from Kenya's Sokoke forest. Their distinctive 'African tabby' pattern and athletic build reflect their wild origins. They're active, intelligent cats who bond deeply with their families.

Sokokes are generally healthy with few breed-specific issues. Small gene pool may be a concern. They may be sensitive to certain vaccines or medications. Regular vet care is important. Lifespan is 12-15 years.

Their short coat needs minimal grooming. They need lots of activity and mental stimulation—they're not lap cats! Provide climbing opportunities and interactive play. They're social and often bond with one person especially.
