Temperament
Overview
The Singapura is one of the smallest cat breeds, weighing only 4-8 pounds. Despite their tiny size, they have huge personalities—curious, playful, and always underfoot. Their large eyes and ticked coat give them an eternal kitten appearance.
Health
Singapuras can be prone to Pyruvate Kinase Deficiency (PKD), uterine inertia in females (difficulty giving birth), and may have a smaller gene pool. Some may develop muscular dystrophy. Generally healthy with 12-15 year lifespans.
Care & Grooming
Their short, fine coat needs minimal grooming—weekly brushing is enough. They're heat-seekers who love warm spots. Provide lots of climbing opportunities and interactive play. They remain kitten-like and playful throughout life.
