Overview

The Oriental Longhair is a longhaired version of the Oriental Shorthair, with the same elegant body and huge personality but with flowing fur. They come in over 300 color and pattern combinations. Incredibly social and vocal.

Health

Oriental Longhairs share health concerns with Orientals and Siamese: liver amyloidosis, heart disease, and respiratory issues. Some may develop dental problems. Regular vet care is essential. Lifespan is 12-15 years.

Care & Grooming

Their silky coat needs brushing 2-3 times weekly. Extremely social—they get depressed if ignored. Need lots of mental stimulation, play, and interaction. Consider getting two if you work long hours.
