The Bombay was bred to look like a miniature black panther, with a sleek black coat and copper eyes. They're often called 'velcro cats' for their love of being with their humans. Confident and outgoing, they're easy to train and travel well.
Health
Bombays can be prone to Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) and craniofacial defects similar to Burmese. Some may develop breathing issues. They may also be prone to excessive tearing. Regular vet checkups are recommended.
Care & Grooming
Their short, patent-leather coat needs only weekly brushing. They're heat-seekers who love warm spots. Highly social—they don't do well alone. Provide lots of interactive play. They can be trained to walk on a leash and do tricks.
