American Bobtail

The American Bobtail is a naturally occurring breed with a distinctive short tail, developed from random bobtailed cats found in America. They're confident, adaptable cats often used as therapy animals. They're known for their dog-like devotion.

American Bobtails are generally healthy—their short tail is a natural mutation without associated health problems. Some may develop hip dysplasia. Robust breed with 13-18 year lifespans. Very few breed-specific issues.

Both short and longhaired varieties need regular brushing. They're adaptable cats who travel well and adjust to new situations. Intelligent and trainable—they can learn tricks and walk on leash. They need interactive play.
